Our mission
Français Pro helps learners build practical French skills with a clear path, structured practice, and exam-aware support.
The platform is intentionally narrow: it focuses on the French you actually need for learning momentum, test preparation, and day-to-day use.
That includes guided learning paths, vocabulary practice, grammar support, conversation-oriented features, and public resources that are easy to scan and use.

Who builds Français Pro
Français Pro is built and maintained by Kasim Kazmi, a software developer based in Canada, as an independent project. It started from a simple problem: many newcomers need French for work, daily life and their immigration application, but good exam-focused practice is often expensive or scattered across many sites.
The goal is one place where you can learn French step by step, look up a grammar rule or a word list in seconds, and practise the exact task types of the TEF Canada and TCF Canada when you're ready.
What's free, and what uses credits
Learning French here is free: the learning path, lessons and checkpoints, and every public grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and culture page. You need a free account to save your progress.
Credits are used only for full mock exams scored by AI, where each speaking and writing answer is evaluated and you get detailed feedback. Credits never expire, and the pricing page lists exactly what each pack includes.
How exam practice is scored
Reading and listening questions are multiple choice, so they're scored automatically and instantly. Speaking answers are first transcribed with speech recognition; speaking and writing are then evaluated by an AI model against criteria set for your level, such as task completion, organisation, vocabulary and grammar.
AI scoring is a practice tool, not an official result. It shows you where you stand and what to work on, but only the official TEF Canada or TCF Canada test gives you a result you can use for immigration.
How the material is written
Lessons, guides and practice prompts are written around the situations the exams and daily life in Canada actually involve: work, housing, health, transport, public services and leisure. Each guide answers a learner's question first, then explains the rule with examples and the mistakes to avoid.
Exam formats are based on the publicly available descriptions of the TEF Canada and TCF Canada. Formats, fees and rules can change, so the site always points you to the official websites for the current details.
The interface is available in English, Spanish, Arabic and Japanese, so you can learn French from the language you're most comfortable with. If you spot a mistake in any lesson, please tell us: corrections from learners make the material better for everyone.

Français Pro is independent. It isn't affiliated with, or endorsed by, the organisations that run the TEF Canada or the TCF Canada, or with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). We don't give immigration or legal advice, and we can't promise a score or an outcome.
